Heron Bay.

Project brief

Heron Bay is a master-planned residential community in Coral Springs, Florida, designed by BC Architects. The firm was also the client for the visuals BOGZA produced in 2022. The project belongs to the master-planning side of the studio's work: the subject is a whole community and its layout rather than a single building.

The plan is organized around water and open space. Residential streets curve along a network of winding waterways and green areas, so the landscape shapes the pattern of blocks and roads. Shared facilities are gathered in one place, with a clubhouse and a group of sports courts set at the center of the plan, where they can serve the residential areas around them.

For BC Architects, BOGZA produced an exterior aerial rendering of Heron Bay. Seen from above, the image sets out the community's street layout, its canals and its amenities, and places the development among the surrounding neighborhoods. The single wide view lets a viewer read the master plan as a whole: where housing, water, landscape and shared facilities meet, and how the parts connect to one another.
