Project brief
Rone Residences is a 12-story, 209-unit apartment building at 2311 Westheimer Road in Houston's River Oaks/Upper Kirby neighborhood, just east of the Westheimer and Kirby Drive intersection. It was developed by High Street Residential, the residential subsidiary of Trammell Crow Company. Ziegler Cooper Architects designed the building, Rottet Studio handled the interiors, Kudela & Weinheimer did the landscape architecture, and Hoar Construction built it.
The building offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments from about 890 to 2,200 square feet, with an average above 1,400 square feet. About 2,900 square feet of retail occupies the ground floor, and four levels of parking sit within the structure. Shared amenities include a 24-hour concierge desk, a fitness center, a dog run, a tenant lounge and a second resident lounge on the 12th floor. The outdoor pool deck has a hot tub and a built-in cold plunge, which the developer describes as the only one in a Houston apartment building. Construction began in January 2023, and the building was completed in August 2025, when residents had begun moving in. The project was previously known as Residences on Westheimer and River Oaks on Westheimer.
BOGZA produced exterior renderings of Rone Residences, including a corner view at sunset. It shows the balconied facade, the dark frame at the roofline, and the planted, glass-roofed entrance along Westheimer Road.
