Project brief
Brickyard Apartments is a 298-unit apartment community under construction in Castle Rock, Colorado. It sits on a 3-acre parcel within the 31-acre Brickyard district, on the grounds of the former Acme Brickworks plant just west of Interstate 25 on Prairie Hawk Drive. The unit mix runs from 36 studios and 149 one-bedrooms to 98 two-bedrooms and 15 three-bedrooms. Golden-based Confluence Companies is developing the project in a joint venture with Chicago fund manager Origin Investments, and Studio 646 Architecture is the architect.
The development also includes about 38,300 square feet of commercial condo space for sale. More than half of it was committed to local businesses by the time the project was announced, including three new restaurants. Planned amenities include a rooftop pool with a hot tub, sauna and cold plunge, a fitness center, a social lounge and kitchen, an outdoor terrace, a golf simulator, landscaped courtyards, a dog spa and covered parking. Bricks from the old Acme plant are being reused in the district. The wider master plan is anchored by a 145,000-square-foot sports center and also includes a hotel and conference center. Foundation work began in the winter of 2025–26, following the December 2025 announcement. Phase one is expected to open in summer 2027, and phase two is expected to be complete in spring 2028.
BOGZA produced exterior renderings for the project in 2025. One dusk view shows a brick restaurant building with a roof terrace and outdoor seating.
