Project brief
Creekside Park The Grove is a 360-unit apartment community in The Woodlands, Texas, made up of six four-story wood-framed buildings on a site of about 14 acres. It stands at 8440 Creekside Green Drive, at the northeast corner of Kuykendahl Road, marking the entrance to Creekside Park Village Center. The Craftsman-style buildings hold one-, two- and three-bedroom units of roughly 680 to 1,490 square feet. Howard Hughes developed and owns the community, its second multifamily project in Creekside Park. Humphreys & Partners Architects designed it, with interiors by Kathy Andrews Interiors and Ziegler Cooper Architects.
The clubhouse reinterprets the Texas dog trot house and opens onto a fireside back porch. It contains a large fitness center and a studio for yoga, spin and barre. Outside, a resort-style pool has a cabana, wet bar and fireplace, with a dog park, outdoor kitchens, grilling areas and a game area nearby. A solar-powered co-working area, touchless entry doors and air-purifying ionization in the common-area HVAC address energy and wellness. Units have nine-foot ceilings, quartz countertops and in-unit laundry, and ground-floor homes have fenced yards. Arch-Con Corporation built the project. Pre-leasing began in February 2021, and the grand opening was announced that August.
BOGZA's work on the project included exterior and interior renderings and a film. One rendering shows the pool and clubhouse at dusk. The clubhouse of timber, stone and glass glows from within, and loungers line the resort-style pool set between the apartment buildings.
