The Kent.

Project brief

The Kent is a seven-story, 396-unit apartment community under construction at 2631 Kramer Lane in North Austin, Texas. It sits on a 2.89-acre lot in the North Burnet-Gateway area next to The Domain and will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with access to a parking garage. HPI Real Estate Services & Investments is the developer, asset manager and construction manager. Belshaw Mulholland Architects designed the building, and Ellie Aiello Interiors is responsible for the interiors. OHT Partners is the general contractor, and Greystar will manage the property.

The site borders The Domain, a large mixed-use district of shops, offices and apartments. It is also less than a quarter-mile from the future UT Dell Medical Center and its integrated MD Anderson Cancer Center, which places the building close to a major new employment hub. HPI is putting more than $20 million of its own capital into the project alongside private investors. The investor round closed within two weeks, with commitments more than 50 percent above the target. Groundbreaking was announced in August 2026. First residents are expected to move in by late 2028, and full completion is slated for mid-2029.

In 2023, BOGZA produced interior and exterior renderings for The Kent. The interior views show a planned double-height lounge with a mezzanine library reached by a spiral stair, as well as a fitness center with a climbing wall.
