Link & Pin Arboretum.

Project brief
Link & Pin Arboretum is a restaurant in Suite 1200 at 8128 Providence Road, in the Arboretum neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. It occupies a single suite within a shopping center shared with other tenants. The menu covers American food and steaks, and a cocktail bar is part of the concept. Cluck Design Collaborative designed the restaurant, and the firm's 2020 construction documents were prepared for Link & Pin, LLC.
The name comes from an old railroad term and recalls Charlotte's first rail line of the mid-1800s, which ran toward Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina. That history belongs to South End, home of the original Link & Pin. The Arboretum location is a large restaurant with a range of seating, including a dining room with lake views, a bar and lounge, and tall windows facing fountains. Outdoors there is a patio with a firepit. The restaurant is open, serving dinner, late-night hours and weekend brunch. Its menu aims to be chef-driven but approachable, and the bar focuses on wine and cocktails.
In 2018, ahead of the construction set, BOGZA produced interior renderings for Cluck Design Collaborative. The images show interiors modeled on classic railway stations: a dining room with columns, arched windows and a pressed-metal ceiling, a bar beneath a copper hood, and a lounge arranged around an indoor tree.
