Moorings Park Grande Lake.

Project brief

Moorings Park Grande Lake is a Life Plan senior living community in Naples, Florida, set on 55 acres on the south side of Golden Gate Parkway between Airport-Pulling and Livingston roads, beside the Naples Grande Golf Course. Moorings Park and London Bay Development Group created it in partnership. London Bay's in-house team handled the conceptual design and land plan, and BSSW Architects produced the construction documents. The campus is planned for 299 units, with 275 for independent living and 24 for assisted living and memory support, in a project of about 1.5 million square feet.

The campus is arranged around a 28-acre lake, with a boardwalk, pier and lakeside yoga pavilion. Its center is a seven-story Clubhouse with amenity floors for dining, fitness and doctors' offices, and 16 large residences on the floors above. Wegman Design Group led the Clubhouse interiors, drawing on the lake through organic shapes, natural materials, and water and fire elements. Independent living residences are spread across a series of mid-rise buildings, and the plan also includes a parking deck and a resort-style pool deck. Construction began in December 2018 with Suffolk as builder. The community is being built out in phases. The first residential buildings and the Clubhouse are open and occupied, while the assisted living and memory care building and the Eagleview residences are scheduled for 2026.

In 2017, BOGZA produced exterior and interior renderings, site plans, animation, film and 360° tours for the community. The images show mid-rise residential buildings around a palm-lined resort pool, including a view of the pool court at dusk, as well as a residence's kitchen and dining area.
