Project brief
Pennsylvania Ski Resort was designed as a ski resort development in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. The plan places a group of lodge buildings among forest at the foot of the mountain's ski slopes, so the buildings sit between the trees and the runs rather than out on open ground. Minno Wasko served as both client and architect for the project.
Public details such as the number of rooms, the building heights and the project's current status are not available. What is known is its basic arrangement: a hospitality program organized around lodges set close to the slopes and surrounded by woodland.
BOGZA worked on the project in 2020 and produced exterior renderings for it. Among them is an aerial view at sunset that places the lodges against the mountain. The image shows how the buildings settle into the wooded ground below the ski runs and how the group reads at the scale of the whole slope. The elevated viewpoint lets the rendering explain the site layout as much as the architecture, giving a clear sense of where the lodges sit in relation to the forest and the mountain above them.
